This wedding was just like every other pandemic wedding, filled with reschedules, cancellations, new vendors, and last minute changes. What sets this wedding apart from the other pandemic weddings, was that this was one of the biggest celebrations of love, family, and remembering loved ones. Cue the sniffles and tears! Nick and Cassie have already proven that they will be able to conquer anything that stands in their way as they have already overcome many challenges together, including the loss of a family member, personal health, and of course, planning over three weddings!
From the beautiful Happy Valley Ranch that the groomsmen were getting ready at, to the stunning Blackhawk private estate, to all of the intricate details in between, this wedding gave me true James Bond meets Cinderella Vibes! Cassie has such a great eye for fashion and detail, I mean did you see those Badgley Mischka heels?!?
As Cassie took her first step down the aisle, Nick, along with everyone else, were wiping tears from their cheeks, as this moment was more than just a father handing his daughter away. These two were celebrating strength, remembering those who we lost too soon, and the love, hope, and excitement for their future together as husband and wife! Cassie and Nick's ceremony was true perfection from start to finish! Reverend Rebeca Wilson was more than just an officiant, she is Cassies' grandmother, who helped them write their ceremony together, so that it was personalized to the two of them. My favorite part of the entire day was when Cassie and Nick surprised their honored guests with a rose. This was extremely special as Cassie and Nick presented a rose to Cassie's mother, Cassie's father, Nick's mother, and a rose in memory of Nick's father. Later in the ceremony was my second favorite part, when Nick unexpectedly whipped out a scroll with his personalized vows to not only Cassie, but also to Lola, Cassie's dog, who means the world to them!
Cassie & Nick, I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, and your wedding was no different! From the last minute switch from a guest to your photographer, I would not have chosen any other way! I feel so beyond honored and excited to have captured your special day. Thank you for trusting me with such an important job, and Trevor and I are beyond excited continue the celebrations!
