When Katie, Marc, and I had first picked a location for their engagement session in San Francisco, we were expecting a cold, foggy October evening. However, when we realized that we were blessed with a sunny and 75 degree day in the city (unheard of!), we made a last minute change to go to Baker Beach, looking forward to the beautiful weather! I am so happy that we made this decision, because we had so much fun at the beach! On top of the great people watching, we found some great spots with dreaming lighting!
Both Bay Area natives, Katie and Marc first met at Santa Clara University over eight years ago! While Katie had an idea that Marc was getting ready to pop the question (especially since they had picked the ring out together), Marc was still able to throw in some surprise factor! A couple months ago, on a cold and foggy day, while they were hiking up in Point Reyes, Marc surprised Katie by dropping to one knee and asking her to marry him! This was such a perfect proposal because hiking is an activity that these two love to do together! Marc is a hiking enthusiast who loves to go backpacking and on long hikes. He's always up for an adventure and loves going with friends. While on these hiking and backpacking trips, Marc also loves to take pictures wherever he goes! While Katie enjoys hiking, she prefers to leave the long trips for Marc, and tags along for the day hikes!
Katie and Marc, you two are so easy to talk to and so much fun to hang out with. Despite what you seem to think, you are beyond photogenic! Thank you for putting up with harsh light, other photographers dancing around in the background, and people wearing less than they should have been, it just wouldn't have been Baker Beach without it! I had so much fun with the two of you and I cannot wait for you wedding in July at Castlewood Countryclub!
